Cremation Ceremony of King Rama IX Has Started

The cremation ceremony of King Rama IX have started in Thailand. The urn of the late king Bhumibol Adulyadej, 9th monarch of the Chakri dynasty, is transported to the crematorium at the Sanam Luang Royal Plaza in a solemn procession that lasts for several hours and is broadcasted live on television.

The cremation is planned for 10PM local time. The ceremonies will continue until the 29th of October and will cost $90 million.
