Jordan’s King Abdullah II Joins Twitter

King Abdullah II of Jordan has launched on Sunday his official Twitter account. In his first tweet under the username @kingabdullahii, His Majesty expressed his happiness to join the famous digital platform and said: “This is Abdullah bin AlHussein, a father and a proud Jordanian. Pleased to be with you on Twitter.”

The first to follow and welcome King Abdallah II was his wife, Queen Rania, who preceded him in joining social media years ago. Her majesty tweeted: “Honored to be @KingAbdullahII’s 1st follower on @Twitter. Your voice of moderation and calls for dialogue is much needed in our world today.”

The King was previously using the royal court’s official Twitter and Facebook with the hashtag #ABH.
