Lady Louise Windsor, the eldest child and only daughter of the Earl and Countess of Wessex, turned 10 on November 8.

Lady Louise was born on November 8, 2003 at Frimley Park Hospital in Frimley, Surrey. She was born with exotropia, a condition which causes the eyes to turn inwards. Louise was also premature at birth and as her mother was seriously ill, Louise was transferred to a neo-natal unit at St George’s Hospital in Tooting.

Louise was christened on April 24, 2004 at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle and was the last member of the Royal Family to use the original heirloom christening gown, which was first used by Queen Victoria’s eldest daughter “Vicky” in 1841 (royal babies since have worn a replica). Her godparents are Lady Alexandra Etherington, Lady Sarah Chatto, Lord Ivar Mountbatten, Rupert Elliot and Francesca Schwarzenbach.

In 2011, Lady Louise was a bridesmaid at her cousin Prince William’s wedding to Kate Middleton.
