Lovely pictures from Noord and Zuid Holland! I'm glad the Queen is enjoying her visits, she certainly looks happy! Does anyone know what that "flowerwall thing" in Zuid Holland is? Is it some kind of monument, or just decoration?

I saw the queen and the flowerwall on television. Apparently the queen did not notice that the small flower decoration was actually a girl, and was quite surprised when 'it' offered her flowers, which caused some laughter.

I believe that the queen had a dinner/ lunch with all the gouvernors of the provinces (commissionairies of the Queen) on saturday, to close the visits to the provinces.

yesterday i heard on the news that oure dutch royalty reporter said that the queen liked her visits to the provinces alot and she was very relaxed on those visitis!!! Hurray for oure queen!!!!!!!! Now the visits are over she is going to get surgery on her knee ( or both knees )

Some time ago i heard that the queen has pain in her knees and she need a operation to replace the kneecaps ?

Hopefully the operation will help the queen from her pain.

there isn't a connection with the jubilee from the queen. it was a jubilee for people who have a prive from the anjerfonds calles a silver anjer

I am surprised by Mabel (who looks very lovely in her salmon-coloured gown) and Johan Friso's attendance at this event. Their attendance only furthers my confusion about what events are considered official and unofficial, and where the line is drawn about whether or not Johan Friso and Mabel will attend or not.

As this is a government dinner, I don't understand why Johan Friso and Mabel are there. Or is the exception because it is the Queen's jubilee? In that same vein, why don't we at least see the two eldest van Vollenhoven brothers (Maurits and Bernhard Jr.) in attendance with their wives since they are officially part of the royal house?

I must say I really like Mabel's dress. The colour suits her..Maxima' dress is nice too.. Hope we can see more pics of them as well as Laurentien..

I think ALL of the daughters-in-law got it right this time. CP Maxima, Princess Mabel, and Princess Laurentien looked great! Queen Beatrix could have done better. This dress was too frumpy for her!
