Queen Letizia's Evening Wear Part 7: July 2022 -

Máxima and Amalia wear shoes with a heel that is more than double.

Letizia is 1.7 m or 5.5 feet
Thank you. I thought she may have been even more petite. Certainly, the latest pic, suggested that - I guess there’s a lot of tall royals out there.

I like the colour, really great. The design at the top is very plain and I had the ordinary belt.
You made a good point, the top is so plain to look at compared to the size of the spectacular bottom part. I think it would have been amazing had the designer added as an applique miniature fleur de lis in the same blue tone that you could only see in closeup. Like the top and sleeves covered with the applique and then merging and disappearing into the skirt below. Remember the Met gala gown Sandra Bullock used in the movie Oceans 8, well re imagine Letizia's here with the applique being the Bourbon's fleur de lis.

Both women, Maxima and Amalia, are not only taller but more robust or big boned than Letizia, therefore can wear big shawls/bows/drapes very well. Regarding this design, it is important to be very tall and statuesque, preferably with killer heels, to make this work.

Queen Letizia looked great in creme-white at the awards ceremony of the Awards for Children's and Youth Literature this evening, May 7:

Looking pretty nice, but generally I feel like she looks better in a whiter white. Definitely pulled this off, though!

A really lovely colour and look on Queen Letizia!

No one does the 80’s as well as Letizia and I’m going to enjoy her summer of Miami Vice looks.

The photo of Maxima and Letizia shows it all. I know there are a whole lot of people out there that figuratively clutch their pearls at the word "stockings" but Maxima looks elegantly finished and feet are right up there with hands for showing your age or if you just don't have nice feet. The photo of Letizia and Amalia showed the difference between Amalia's smooth young feet and Letizia's boney and veiny older feet. It just doesn't look "finished".

Just a note about Letizia's footwear. It may be a children's award but "trainers"?

Apparently Letizia has serious health issues with her feet, which is why she was seated at the reception line for the state banquet during the state visit. She switched from wearing low heals to wearing flat shoes, such as trainers a few weeks ago.

The trainers most likely are for support and comfort due to what has been reported in the past as foot problems. I believe Queen Letizia suffers from metatarsalgia in both feet and Morton's neuroma on the left foot which can be very painful.

Queen Letizia at the premiere of the documentary "The Science of African Women - Science by Women" this evening, May 23 - great shade of blue and great on her, the cut could be better:
The suit looked far too big on Letizia, the colours were great together but it needed something extra such as one of her long forgotten beaded necklaces.

Queen Letizia's foot problems have by now been discussed on various pages of this thread and the diagnosis has been discussed repeatedly at various threads, let us please focus on her fashion choices. Repetitive comments will be removed without notice. Thank you for your understanding!
