This is untrue, even if she meant to say "legitimate children" instead of "legal children" (a status she acquired at the same time as her title). For all Belgians other than herself and her children, nobility and noble titles continue to be inherited through legitimate male lines only.

Agreed that there is a family resembance, but just to clarify , her cousin Elisabeth is formally Princess Elisabeth, Duchess of Brabant or simply Princess Elisabeth, and also informally addressed by the general public as Crown Princess Elisabeth. The form "the Duchess of Brabant" has become obsolete in Belgium.

I wondered if her choice of university meant that Princess Joséphine speaks some Dutch, but according to this article the course is conducted in English (which is apparently very common in Netherlands universities).

Interesting interview. In regard to the debate on this forum some time ago about whether Princess Delphine's public activities are pre-approved by the King or Palace: in my assessment, her comments suggest that the answer is no.
