His Majesty King Abdullah headed on Wednesday morning to Saudi Arabia to take part in the emergency Islamic summit which will start in Mecca today. An official source at the Royal Court announced that due to changing the date of the summit which was supposed to be held on Nov.30th to Dec.7th which coincides with His Majesty's Asian tour to Japan, China and Thailand which was organized earlier, the King will take part only in the opening session of the summit. The source added that HRH Prince Ali Ben Al Hussein will head the Jordanian delegation after the opening session concludes and he will also deliver a speech on behalf of King Abdullah.

the visit to China is from Dec. 10th-13th. when i posted, it was already 10th in China, but it's still 9th American time. hehe.

i haven't read anything about HM's arrival yet in the news, so I guess he'll be arriving in the afternoon or the night.
