they may wear white a lot because it is a crisp, clean color.
you know, very simple like black but doesn't bring on a gloomy feel to it.
at least that is why i like white.

I guess they just like the color.
I guess you are right. I wear a lot of pink purely because I like the colour, so maybe that's why they wear white.

I'm reading all of these posts thinking about how I like pink too. But also it looks good on me. White looks good on Alex, but not so much on MT.

http://www.theroyalforums.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=160519

hm...she over accesorised, so it's hard to focus on one thing...um, and the tiara she is wearing the pics...were they made for her or a LRF heirloom? i don't really like it...it seems kinda chunky, not delicate and exequisite as all tiaras should be...haha anyhow i'll stop being critical...

hey how many suits do u think Henri has? lol i mean know one really looks at what suits he wears hahaha

She was at the wedding of Crown Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde of Belgium, which was December 4, 1999 if I'm not mistaken.

And the tiara she's wearing in the pictures is called the Chaumet Art Deco Tiara, and was originally owned by Grand Duchess Charlotte. It seems to be a favorite of the royal ladies of Luxembourg- Charlotte, Josephine-Charlotte, and Maria Teresa all have worn it frequently.

This coming Sunday, 17 July, Grand Duke Henri will be a guest at the 60th birthday banquet of HRH Crown Prince Alexander of Yugoslavia in the capital city Belgrade. I'm not sure why the Grand Duchess won't be there, the press release only said the Grand Duke.

Maria Teresa, like Grace Kelly, really shows class and charisma as a ruling consort. She also looks great for a lady who does not have a supermodel figure. She seems secure and comfortable with her looks as a normal looking person with a lot of style on her own.

And something interesting on these group of new Royals-by-marriage ladies is that they know how to do their own Pulic Relations management when they are visiting a location. They know what to do to win the public favor by not being distant from those who come to greet them. I saw a picture of Princess Anne visiting the terrorist attack victims at the hospital last week and I could not believe she was using something like kitchen plastic gloves to greet them. I remember the late Diana breaking all rules with AIDS patients and greeting them with her bare hands, she destroyed the stigma that you get contaminated by touching them. When the Spanish Royals visited the victims of our terrorist attack last year no one was wearing gloves nor keeping their distance from the patients like if they were in a biology class dissecting a frog. Again, the new Royals could teach a lesson or two on public relations to the older and stiffer generation.

Anne wasn't wearing "kitchen plastic gloves" -- they were proper white gloves which she frequently wears on royal visits, not just because she was visiting a hospital. The British royals tend to be more formal than other royal families. Everyone from the Queen to Princess Anne, Princess Alexandra and Princess Michael and even the Countess of Wessex wear hats and gloves to many of their engagements -- that is simply the way things are done in the British royal family. Whereas in the Spanish royal family the Queen, Princess Letizia and the Infantas hardly ever wear hats let alone gloves to their royal engagements. I think this is an unfair point to criticize Princess Anne on as it's part of the protocol and expectation with the British court -- expectations that are not present with the Spanish or Luxembourg royal court.

These pics are showing Grand Duchess Maria Teresa visiting the slum region Baraque near Senegal's capital Dakar. She inaugurated in 2000 together with secretary-general of Unesco Koïchiro Matsuura the world forum for education of the Unesco in Dakar. As a representative of the UNO organisation for education, economy and culture she even visited the slumps quarter and informed about the issues of the inhabitants and the children.

Correction to the previous: this auction was already held, in the late June, some three weeks ago. As told in the newspaper Kaleva up here: Tajan sold 815 units of wine, about 6500 bottles, over half of them from the private cellar of the Grand Duke of Luxembourg. The writer of the article notes that no ordinary red plonks are stored there...

According to the wine expert Alex de Clouet many of the people selling their wines through Tajan are either short of cash (unlikely in this case), or they have inherited the cellar and possess no interest in it (I hope that's not the case - I am a big wine buff myself), or simply, because their cellars are either overfull they are selling something to make way to something else; selling off loads of old wines to make space for younger wines or wines that are "fashionable" is also common. Bourgogne is big right now so apparently old Merlots are going under hammer. There is no mention of white wine in the article; they are less valuable as they take less work and don't age as well as reds.

The Grand Duke sold wines from the châteaux of Saint Emilion, mainly from 1970s, about 100€ a bottle, a dozen cases of Bordeaux aristocrats, like Château de Sales, 100€ a piece, a case of Château Cheval Blanc 1975 á 1000 €, plus hundreds of bottles of Château Petrus (a classic top wine) from around 600€ a piece, depending of the vintage - I think 1972 was an excellent Petrus year, 1975 not so; I may be wrong. According to de Clouet, all of the wines are luxurious top products, but not really rarities...

...which he is perhaps saving for private use...? Too bad the Grand Duchess smokes, as it definitely affects her capability to taste this kind of wines properly. BTW, some of the other sellers' wines went for as low as 30€ a case - in Finland you would have to pay at least 100-120€ for dozen bottles of plonk, and much much more for wines of this calibre. Everything is depressingly expensive in here :(

Cool! When was he in Singapore?

Wasn't it like two or three weeks ago, as the decision of the 2012 olympics was made a day before London bomb attack. I always try to get a glimpse of the GD whenever there is something about the IOC on TV, but they are very secretive there, those guys.
