The DRF informs an upcoming 3-days working trip for dilligent Mary to New York next week:

HRH Crown Princess Mary is in New York on September the 27 to 29 for among others events to participate in a number of activities related to the UN General Assembly.
The trip is under the auspices of Crown Princess Mary's commitment to the promotion of women's and girls' rights and gender equality, including the Crown Princess membership of the High Level Task Force for the International Conference on Population and Development.

Global Leaders' Meeting on Achieving Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment

During her visit the Crown Princess attend the 'Global Leaders' Meeting on Achieving Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment'. The meeting is based on the 20th anniversary of the adoption of the Beijing Declaration and Programme of Action of the Fourth World Congress on Women in 1995 which aims to get leaders to reaffirm the countries 'political commitment and determination to achieve the objectives of women's and girls' rights . Chinese President Xi Jinping and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, will host the meeting. Denmark's Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen will also participate in the meeting.
Visit by North Nordic Food Festival

The Crown Princess will also participate in 'North Nordic Food Festival'. A festival for the third year in a row shelves Nordic cuisine. Under the 'Europe Day' the Crown Princess will also meet Danish chef and entrepreneur Claus Meyer who in 2016 will open a'Nordic Food Hall' at Grand Central Terminal in New York. The Crown Princess holds the keynote speech during the meeting '# Generation2030: torchbearers for the SDG's'. A meeting which focuses on young people's key role in implementing the new worlds goals. The meeting will be held jointly by Denmark, Sri Lanka, United Kingdom, Burkina Faso, Rwanda, United Nations Development Programme, the UN Secretary General's Special Envoy for young people and civil society organization 'Restless Development'. In addition, the chairman of the UN General Assembly Danish Mogens Lykketoft. A number of young people will talk about their personal involvement in such. sexual and reproductive health, and the meeting will provide an opportunity for dialogue between young people and government representatives.
Maternity Foundation

The Crown Princess gives the opening speech at the Danish organization 'Maternity Foundations' arrangement 'Mobile Innovations for Maternal Health'. The event focuses on the use of mobile technology to save mothers 'and infants' lives in developing countries. The event will 'The Safe Delivery App' - a new mobile learning tool for facilitators in Africa - will be presented. The app is developed by the Maternity Foundation in collaboration with the University of Southern Denmark.

Meeting of the High Level Task Force

The Crown Princess participates in a whole-day meeting of the High Level Task Force for the International Conference on Population and Development (HLTF). HLTF is an independent body made up of 26 prominent leaders including heads of state, ministers and parliamentarians, representatives of civil society and the private sector and philanthropic leaders. HLTF aims to promote and ensure women's and girls' sexual and reproductive health and rights in the new 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The Crown Princess has been a member of the HLTF since its establishment in October 2012.

Women Deliver: The Road to Copenhagen 2016

'Women Deliver: The Road to Copenhagen' is a meeting organized by the organization Women Deliver, UNWomen and the Danish UN Mission. Here the Crown Princess together with the executive directors of UN Women and Women Deliver, the Danish foreign minister, Kristian Jensen, as well as ministers for gender equality and youth from around the world discuss how investing in girls and women's health, rights and well-being can help to create prosperity. The meeting in New York leading up to next year's Women Deliver conference to be held in Copenhagen in May 2016 with Crown Princess Mary as patron.
