For all the bruhaha over her spending sprees, she must be given credit for recycling her clothes. I've yet to see other royals doing it. Cut her some slack. I know ME royals spend hundreds of thousands on custom made clothes they only wear once.

Mary does recycle well, but if you look through the forum you will see that all of the current Crown Princesses seems to do so.

It is safe to say that ALL women recycle their clothes including ALL the Crown Princesses and Princesses around the world. If your not a fan or follow all the royal women of the world closely of course you wouldn't notice that they all recycle. Mary is no different when it comes to mix and matching clothes to make them look new. Plain and simple.

Hi Lillia,
I'm not sure about these particular jewels, but I have read that Mary often uses Marianne Dulong - you can see her site here: http://www.mariannedulong.dk/
The jewellery from your example does resemble Dulong's style I think. As far as I remember Dulong also made the earrings Mary wore at her wedding - with the big pearls.

Yes, I remember that is when her hat blew off outside and she burst out laughing!:)
This time she wore a pin in the hat and the hat blew off again... You find a picture at the Crown Princess Mary Board

that's from the yacht when Mary and Frederik came into port in Bornholm. It took place June 20, the first day of their visit to Bornholm. She wore the same outfit the entire day.

I have just read the whole thread. Mary has amazing sense of style. She's the best dressed royal lady in Europe right now. And a white dress in the above picture is gorgeous. Mary looks perfect in all colors including white and black but not always in pale colors. :)

Mims111, I didn't pay much attention to this dress before but after look at your second picture I have to agree with you that this top definitely is not good on her especialy it looks so strecht beetween it's sleves and front part, the top just looks like it has one size smaller than suppose to be:rolleyes:.

Crown Princess Mary's Clothing

Hello,

I am a new poster and an admirer of CP Mary's clothing. I was wondering if anyone is aware of what designers/shops she purchases her clothing and accessories from. I am sure most is custom designed but I am curious to know about the designer.

Thank you

Some of Marys favourite danish designers has quite good webistes and has ready to wear collections which she wears. The websites are in english so they are easy to navigate.

Malene Birger, especially the Saloon collection is nice IMO

Looking for something else I found this coat that looks alot like the one Mary wore in the summer cruise to Bornholm, but there are no back view of it or belt, so Im not really sure but the collar and cut does look similar though, its from Nicolas Ghesquiere for Balenciaga

You're right Larzen. Gwyneth Paltrow has this coat too and she is a big Balenciaga fan. It's good to see Mary trying out some other designers.

I love Mary's white dress. Does anyone know who designed the dress?

I don't like everything Mary wears but, on the whole, she is very beautifully dressed. I can't say I blame her for some of her fashion misses. She needs a ton of clothing and I would gather it's hard to put together the "perfect" outfit every time.

I love the whole look of Mary's white dress, it is perfect with her hair and her pearls and is one of her best if not her best ensemble.

CP Mary has such great style. I admire her for her classic style but also for taking that leap when she wants to jazz things up a bit. She's not afraid to try new things and maybe make a mistake here and there. As for me, she rates up there with Audrey Hepburn and Princess Grace when it comes to style and elegance.

I think so too. The colours somehow don't really match.

CP Mary seems to wear a lot of very similar dresses, like the green one and her engagement dress. They have 3/4 sleeves, a high round neck, are quite close fitting and are made of similar material! They look really nice on her though!
