Dutch Summer Photo Session at Noordeinde Palace
Today, Friday June 24, took place the annual summer photo session of the Dutch Royals. King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima, accompanied by their three daughters, Princesses Catharina-Amalia, Alexia and Ariane, posed inside the Noordeinde Palace. At first the photo shoot was supposed to take place on the beach at Zuiderstrand but then, due to the bad weather forecast, the location was moved to Noordeinde Palace. The King and Queen and their daughters posed for the photos in different combinations, not only all the family together but also individual portrait, the three princesses photographed together, the King and Queen posed together and also the Queen with the Princesses and the King with his eldest daughter.
The Royal Family also posed for some photos on the stairs.
During the photo shoot the Royal couple spoke briefly to the press gathered for the event and, for the first time, Princess Catharina-Amalia joined her parents. One of the main topic was the Princess’ upcoming move to Amsterdam where she will start the bachelor’s degree in Politics, Psychology, Law and Economics (PPLE) at the University of Amsterdam. The King said that the Princess is ready for this new phase of her life, while the Queen added that this will be an important experience for the Princess’ life. Talking about her gap year, Princess Catharina-Amalia stated that “learned a lot” from the internship at the Orange Fund and in other social organizations and both the King and the Queen said that the Princess “has changed in a positive way”.
