Dutch Summer Photo Session at Huis ten Bosch Palace
Today, Friday July 17, took place the annual summer photo session of the Dutch Royals.
Due to the Coronavirus crisis there were fewer reporters that had to keep their distance from one another.
King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima, accompanied by their three daughters, Princesses Catharina-Amalia, Alexia and Ariane, posed in the garden of Huis ten Bosch Palace.
The King and Queen and their daughters posed for the photos in different combinations, not only all the family together but also individual portrait, the three princesses photographed together and the King and Queen also posed together.
During the photo shoot the Royal couple addressed the media present for the event.
Talking about the months spent in lockdown, Queen Maxima said that it wasn’t easy for her daugthers to stay away from school but luckly the final results have been very good for the girls. The Queen also added that her mother, Maria del Carmen, arrived to the Netherlands in early March to look after her granddaughters while the King and the Queen were on a state visit to Indonesia, spent the lockdown with them since she was unable to go back to Argentina following the Coronavirus outbreak.
The King expressed his hope that after the summer break he can resume his activities even with the application of the restrictions.
The King and the Queen also mentioned a possible gap year for Princess Amalia that next year will take her final exam to get the high school diploma.
