Danish Crown Prince Couple Present Their Culture Prize in Holstebro
The 2016 ‘Kronprinparrets Priser’ were presented this evening at the Musikteatret Holstebro by Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark.
During the ceremony, which is held annually in different cities around the country and recognises remarkable social and cultural initiatives, the organisation Children, Youth & Grief received the 2016 Social Prize while director-scriptwriter Tobias Lindholm was awarded the 2016 Culture Prize.
A number of musical performances made up the ceremony’s entertainment including Mathias Heise, who was awarded this year’s Kronprinsparret Stardust Prize. Singer Lars H.U.G. also performed, as a special treat for the Crown Prince Couple, singing Can They Repair You? which was quoted in Frederik’s wedding speech to Mary.
Mary wore a recycled blue and black floral print hi-low skirt from Australian designer Jayson Brundson, paired with a plain black long-sleeve blouse and lace pumps. The blues of her skirt were echoed in her diamond and aquamarine chandelier earrings.
