Danish Crown Prince Couple Complete German Visit

On their final day in Germany, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended a Health Living seminar with the them ‘Rethinking Health Care’ with a number of the businesses accompanying them on the trip.

Later, the couple had separate engagements before lunch, the Crown Prince attending a seminar on sustainable living and the Crown Princess viewing the Tasty and Stylish Living exhibition at the Freiheizhalle that showcased Denmark as a country of design and gastronomy.

In the afternoon Frederik and Mary opened the Fritz Hansen exhibition that has been prepared in conjunction with the German Designfunktion. The exhibition showcases the Series 7 chair by Arne Jacobsen, which was recreated in bright colours for the exhibition and took the interest of the royal couple.

They then headed over to the Fraunhofer Institute, the largest research institution in Europe. They were shown around the institute by Professors Alexander Verl and Jacob Rehof, with the purpose of creating new areas of cooperation between the institute and Danish companies.
