As every year, the Crown Princely Family greeted the children’s parade at the entrance of their home Skaugum in Asker in the early morning. Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit, Marius, Princess Ingrid Alexandra and Prince Sverre Magnus were dressed in national costumes and as in previous years, the family dog Milly Kakao joined them, decorated with a bow and was taken care of by the young Prince and Princess.

For the first time, 7-year old Prince Sverre Magnus – being now in second grade at Jansløkka School – was allowed to participate in the children’s parade like his older siblings.

Afterwards, the Crown Princely Family joined King Harald and Queen Sonja on the balcony of the Royal Palace in Oslo and greeted the large children’s parade with 109 schools participating. Also Princess Astrid, King Harald’s sister, watched the parade from a Palace window.

Meanwhile, Princess Märtha Louise and Ari Behn attended the National Day church service in the Norwegian Church in London. They moved to London last year to stay there for about two years. After the service, they were joined by their three children Maud Angelica, Leah Isadora and Emma Tallulah at Southwark Park, where the family took part in the children’s parade together.
