Crown Princess Mary’s Birthday Engagement

 

Crown Princess Mary spent her 37th birthday attending the premiere of the Copenhagen International Fashion Fair’s CIFFKids Trend Show at the Bella Centre in Copenhagen. The visit saw Mary viewing the collections of several lines of clothing for children, and being sung ‘Happy Birthday’.

However, the birthday greeting had to be sung a second time, as Mary was busy comforting the seven-year-old flower girl who had begun to cry while the first rendition was being sung. A birthday cake was later presented to the Crown Princess, along with a pair of matching beaded bracelets – one for the birthday girl, and one for her daughter Isabella.

Mary has been patron of the Copenhagen International Fashion Fair (CIFF) since the beginning of 2005.
