Working Birthday for the Prince of Asturias
Last January 30 the Prince and the Princess of Asturias visited the city of Yecla, a town in the northernmost part of Murcia.
The Princes’ first stop was to preside over a working meeting of the Arema Association. After the meeting, Their Royal Highnesses signed the Honor Book of Yecla’s Furniture Fair, and the Arema Association presented them with gifts, including books about the town of Yecla and two gold medals bearing the image of the Virgen del Castillo. The medals are for the Princes’ daughters, Infanta Leonor and Infanta Sofía.
Afterwards the Princes of Asturias went to the city hall were they received greetings from thousands of people who were waiting to meet them. The townsfolk had one surprise for their royal visitor: they sang “Cumpleaños Feliz” to Prince Felipe, who was celebrating his 41st birthday.
