She looks more like attenting a business meeting not a dinner

The skirt was consistent with the dress code. It only looked out of place because the Korean guests were wearing traditional dress (also possible with the stated dress code).

Her aquamarine earrings are not Queen Fabiola's (RJMB)

Too bad. I was hoping it could be Fabiola's earrings, in which case there would be hope Mathilde will wear Fabiola's tiara with the aquamarines one day.

That was my reaction as well. If the earrings had been Fabiola's, there would have been hope that the tiara might get used one day as well.

A dresscode "suit and tie" does not rule out long dress, as we have seen in Paris, two days ago, by coincidence:

It is just a question of fine-tuning between hosts and guests. But for the rest: this was the best State Visit for Queen Mathilde, fashion-wise. My compliments.

Don't like the over powering coat/blouse its far too busy looking.

Not keen on the top as it seems more like a '70s wallpaper design. The colours look pretty on Mathilde, though.

I like this! The color are pretty and the pants appear to be a flattering fit.

That is not a flattering outfit on her. I like both the blouse and the skirt separately, but I don't like them together on Mathilde.

I love the blouse.

The skirt I don't find flattering at all. The volume and where it sits on her, makes her wider. The color and pattern are lovely, just not the cut.

:previous:

Here's another full view photo, pretty eye-catching, but I'm not sure whether I like it or not.

Those aren't just wide, those are circus tent pants. She puts Stephanie to shame. Those circus tents are bad enough, but with such a print

The print would work with a lovely pencil skirt, but this is just too much.

Okay, I'm taking back what I said about Mathilde and prints and patterns. The last couple of outings have been dire.

I like the wrap blouse, but those pants - No, just no.

Well no I saw the Concert on TV , She looked fresh, smiling and wonderful.

I wish the Belgian and Dutch consorts would ditch Nathan as he has given them some God awful outfits and this horror is yet another one

I think there comes a point when a pair of trousers might just as well be a skirt and be done with it. I do like the print though - I think some of the prints and patterns Natan uses are lovely.

There must be a floral theme today for the queens and princesses in Europe but the jury is out on this one.

Mathilde's dress looks a lot better in black and white but I'm not a fan of it in the colour photos.

I am going the other way. I think it is marginally better in color. This current floral trend among the royals doesn't seem to be going well. I don't care for most of them.

.

And now - to have it all ;) - here's a full view of the dress on Mathilde and that in colour! ;)

Everyody knows in Belgium that our Queen needs "'sur mesure" and may not wear "pret à porter" because there are so much corrections to apply...
If this is "sur mesure " not sucessful at all !

Looks far nicer this tome round minus the snow boots!
