I'm a bit shocked to see HM with that headscarf, but I guess it was necessary in Abu Dhabi. The golden dress looks lovely!

I love the pink outfit. Makes her look much younger!

I love the pink outfits and the white dress. The Queen looks so pretty.

Pink hat is great  I like HM wearing lights colors and pastels. It suits her.

I like the blue one with the gold decorations on it.

Oh I soo agree with you, Opal! HM just looks wonderful in both pics... She continues to be a wonder.

Why does the Queen wear gloves? Is it to protect her from germs?

Wow! HM looks absolutely stunning both with the beautiful wrap and without it. I love her gown! I do not remember seeing it before, and it is a beauty. Hopefully, she will wear it again...

When I was much younger I did not think HM was that ellegant. I do not know if she became more ellegant over the years of if my personal taste has changed. Maybe a little bit of the two? The blue dress Is perfect!

cmbruno I feel the same way... I do not know what the difference is though!

I like it much better w/o the shawl!

Well, roseroyal, now it is my time to agree with you! I think she shawl did no justice to the beautiful dress and the colours did not go very well together.

Someone said she wore it on her tour of Germany a few years ago. And while the dress is not one of my favorites either, it is elegant. I like the silver trim against the dark blue. Have you seen it w/o the shawl? Quite nice.

The shawl is dispensible here Imo. At least not in this grim color... The dress is truly royal... :crown:

Agreed! BTW... W/O in above post means without...

Who knows? Maybe it was cold in London? HM seems to like shawls at formal evening engagements. But in this case...:ermm:
Looked like a giant piece of steel wool!

Definitely not well matched with the rest. But very adequate to the snowy weather that has also overwhelmed GB. Sometimes it's better to feel warm than smart and cold! :flowers:

Indeed, I said it was worn for the State Visit 2004 to Germany; and she wore it once before, I believe in the Golden Jubilee. So HM The Queen recycles well. I am not a fan of the deep blue and the shawl... We always complain about a "snow, white Queen", but I think she is best in her white gowns.
