It looks quit nice, and the shoes are okay given the more informal style of the dress.

I'm sure the dress looks better in person. I find it disturbing on the eye and difficult watch, like the photograph is out of focus. Perhaps it is just my old eyes. The shape is good though (of the dress).

I was glad to see your comment about the stripes and their effect on your eyes. As soon as I saw the picture, my reaction was - that makes my eyes go funny!

Love the entire look.
I dont think it is a dress but a skirt and blouse.

The outfit is reminiscent of those my mother wore in 1980s. The cut and velvet are not my cup of tea. I like richness of the ruby red colour.

The dress is stunning and she looks very pretty, but I think she should have chosen another colour for her accessories. Especially the purse looks too much.

I liked it slightly better with the hairstyle from Turkey, but still an odd combination I think the dress is actually pretty, but not with that jacket.

I like it because it is different and must love she is wearing Dries Van Noten.
Bbut prefer the look without the jacket.

I do like the golden jacket very much. I do not like the dress very much. And the combination I find horrible indeed. I dont think that this dress gives much credit to the jacket. The same kind of fabric as the jacket for de dress would be much nicer i.m.o.

The jacket and shoes...too matchy matchy. The jacket also cuts her at a bad spot, which I think is making her look bigger (well the dress isn't helping there either) than she really is.

For a second New Year's reception today, January 15, Mathilde has recycled the Natan outfit she has last worn on December 3 and that Máxima owns as well:
