Joachim has been on the job today as Rigsforstander. There has been a minor government reshuffle.

The reason why would take half a novel to explain. It can be boiled down to two words: Bad leadership.

Yesterday morning, April 2nd, Prince Joachim attended the International Talent Conference 2016 in Lyngby. Princess Marie wasn't present but appeared in a video at the beginning of the conference as the conference's theme was "Conciliate career and family life in Denmark for foreign citizens".

Both Joachim and our Marie have been on the job recently, but that has largely been ignored by the nationwide media.

One such event took place in the town of Tønder, close to Schackenborg and involved Joachim.
Along with 190 other guests Joachim went to the Ecco conference center (Joachim know the Ecco family well) to enjoy a national match between the the German and Danish cook-national teams.
The Minister for Foodstuff was there as well.
The proceeds of the match went to charity.

The Danish team won this match.

Before the match Joachim told our reporter: "I haven't had lunch. So there is room for tasting the exploits with local raw material".
What's his favorite dish?
"That I won't reveal here. I risk disappointing someone".

Joachim gave a speech before the dinner was served: "At my own wedding (to Marie) the cook-national team set the level very high. I wasn't disappointed on the day, and I haven't been since".

They are not pink, Polyesco & Cyrilvladisla, they are or rather were white.

There is of course a perfectly rational explanation.

His tie and pants were merely washed incorrectly.
That happens when modern wives wash clothes. - And being ever the perfect gentleman, Joachim would never even dream about hurting his wife's feelings by pointing out that his former white tie and crispy white pants now have an unfortunate brigtish red hue. On the contrary, he would naturally tell her a white lie about how he likes his tie and pants much better this way.
Telling his wife that she has made even a minor mistake is inconceivable to a true gentleman.

Joachim has been on the job in Aarhus today, where a number of newly educated craftsmen were honored. That is the very best of them.
And as always an honorary artisan was honored as well. In this case the local singer Thomas Helmig.

I see his tie is more subdued this time. - Not Thomas Helmig, he wouldn't know what a tie is if he was garotted with one.

Quite, quite.

I was young in Aarhus at the same time as Thomas Helmig and he often got himself into trouble. In fact there was a local saying based on a song of his at the time: "It's me standing out here knocking", that was locally changed to: "It's me standing out here being beaten up".
He's grown up a bit since though.
