Royal Couple hold concert for representatives of the Danish research and science in Fredensborg Palace Church, followed by supper at Fredensborg Castle. Crown Prince couple and HRH Princess Marie participating in the event at. 19.00.

it seems that both mary and marie's ladies in waiting were there!

i wonder if it's part of the dress code, as all the ladies but the queen are dressed in black...

I dont think its the dress code but could be since the princesses and LIW are all in black but lets not forget that Marie tends to wear black for night events.

At the yearly concert in the palace chapel at Fredensborg members from the world of research and science were invited. Including the Minster for Science, Charlotte Sahl-Madsen (*) and the PM and Foreign Minister.
Anyway, all of them dressed up in their finest listened to the concert for an hour. The musicians came from the Royal Music Conservatory.
At 20.00 it was time for a supper in the domed hall. Mary, sporting a neat ponytail, was seated next to the dean of Aarhus University. OMII had the pleasure of the PM's comapny. Here they all enjoyed a precourse consisting of fish, before the guests could dive into a buffet where, judging from the article, nothing was missing.
The supper ended at 23.00

(*) Talk about an invisible minister! I didn't even know her. Why on earth the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister were invited is beyond me. Innovation is hardly on their agenda. - Sorry, couldn't resist. :p And yes, I still vote for the PM's party. Soon to be the former PM, if he doesn't shape up... :bang:
The Foreign Minster? Well, she is... She is a very blond blonde. :whistling:

A chilly day today as you can see.

The Hubertus Jagt (hunt) takes place every autumn. And it involves a considerable number of riders who is realy dressed up in their finest suits.
It's basically just like an English foxhunt, except that there no foxes, no hounds and it's not a hunt...
The riders ride a few kilometres through a large park called Dyrehaven, located just outside Copenhagen. Here they or rather the horses jump over a number of obstacles. Hopefully without falling off. However there is also a pond! A very wet and somewhat muddy experience should you fall of. That pond is a favourite among the spectators, who hope for some riders to fall off their horses.
Now before the main event, which involves adult and experienced riders, junior riders, consisting of children riding ponies go first. They at least get a lot of sympathy, should they fall off in the pond. :lol:
It's rare that anyone is hurt, only dignities may be wounded at a Hubertus Hunt.

Now, in this park there is a small, unheated, hunting palace. It's really very small and by some known as the DRF's allotment garden house. It's from here Prince Henrik, Frederik, Mary, Christian, Bella, Nikolai and Felix obeserved today's events. That is when they weren't busy cleaning windows with their tounges or armwrestling.

The photo's of the family are truly lovely. They really do epitomise a grounded, warm and affectionate family.

I like how Mary made the piece sign behind Felix's head while he did the same to Christian. Quite sweet.

Such a beautiful family.
 
Its great to see that the boys get along great. They do seem to enjoy each others company.
Pity Joachim & Marie nor the Queen attended the event. Bella is adorable, love her new hair cut.

Joachim and Marie were probably at Schackenborg and Queen Margrethe...
I have the very clear impression that she can't see the deeper purpose of horses. :p
 
Aww I really love those pictures!
Isabella is hilarious as usual, windows-licking must be fun! For the first time that I realize that she is going to be a very beautiful girl. She has always been a cutie, but I think that she is really pretty.
Nikolai knows what is it to be around smaller boys! Look at how he makes Christian believe that he could beat him :D Felix looks mischievous, and Christian is a real daddy's boy- never afraid of any physical challenge. Awesome family. Love them.
