you mean they were not invited, walked in and acted like if they owned the place? Strange indeed.

I believe they were invited actually, but while Juliana and Bernhard were away they created a mess and took things over as if it was their place. In the end the staff did not call the police but prince Bernhard. Prince Bernhard told the Bourbon-Parma's one or twoi things by phone (knowing prince Bernhard that couldn't be too polite ) and they left the same day.

Of course the image of the Bourbon-Parma's was bad, something like the wicked catholic in-laws who 'stole' our prettiest princess and made her a catholic , so I am not sure how reliable the story is.

At the Polygoon video of the wedding of irene and Carlos-Hugo, the reporter maliciously remarks that nobody paid any attention to the Bourbon-Parma sisters for example.

In this case the ratio is not so bad regarding Bourbon-Parma statistics: of the 6 children of duke Elias who beacame quite old just 1 married; and also between the children of princess Irene the ratio is worst: 1 of 4 has married (2 times)

The Brigade was founded in WWII in England out of dutch men who either lived abroad at the time the war
started or fled to England after it started and all got organised in this Brigade. The Brigade was named after the Princess.
