Spanish Official Visit to Croatia: Last Day
Today, Thursday November 17, Their Majesties King Felipe and Queen Letizia started their second and last day in Croatia by attending the inauguration of the Croatia-Spain IFMIF-DONES forum accompanied by the Croatian President, Zoran Milanović, and his wife, Sanja Musić. The forum was focused on the development of fusion as an energy source. During the event took place the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Minister of Science and Innovation and the Croatian counterpart “to reinforce the collaboration of both countries in the IFMIF-DONES clean energy project”.
Then the Royal Couple moved to the residence of Spanish ambassador in Croatia to meet with a representative of the Spanish residents living in the country.
The official visit continued with a separate agenda for the Royal Couple: King Felipe met with the president of the Croatian Parliament, Gordan Jandroković, and then had lunch with the Prime Minister, Andrej Plenković; the Queen, along with the First Lady, paid a visit to the Hearing and Speech Rehabilitation Clinic. The clinic, founded in 1961, “is a health institution dealing with specialistic consultative health protection of persons with problems of speech communication”. The Queen and the First Lady met with the doctors and the patients and were informed about several rehabilitation projects.
