Belgian Royal Family Celebrates National Day

On Wednesday July 15, the Belgian Royal Family started the celebrations for the Belgian National Day. In the evening, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde along with Princess Astrid, Prince Lorenz and Prince Laurent attended the concert “Prelude to National Day” held at the Palais des Beaux Arts in Brussels and organized by the Queen Elisabeth Competition.
In the morning of the National Day, Tuesday July 21, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde together with Princess Elisabeth, Prince Gabriel, Prince Emmanuel and Princess Eleonore, attended the traditional Te Deum at the Saint Michael and St Gudula Cathedral in Brussels.
Queen Mathilde wore a Natan midi dress in jacquard wih embroiedery motif matched with a Fabienne Delvigne hat and a clutch.
Princess Elisabeth wore a Natan silk georgette dress with floral print matched with an orange clutch and a Fabienne Delvigne headband.
Princess Eléonore wore a pink dress from the Belgian designer Marie-Leonie Stock.
After the Te Deum the King paid a visit to the BOZAR where he attended a performance of acrobats from the Circus Zonder Handen and was present at the unveiling of a work by graffiti artist Dema One.
In the afternoon took place a ceremony in the courtyard of the Place des Palais to pay a tribute to the heroes of the Coronavirus crisis and to mark of the end of World War II, 75 years ago.
Were present King Philippe, Queen Mathilde, their children, Princess Astrid, Prince Lorenz, Prince Laurent.
Later the King and the Queen, accompanied by their children, paid visit to two residential care centers: the Cecilia Residential Care Center in Alken and La Maison de Mariemont in Morlanwelz.
