Princess Anne Begins Visit to China to Mark Diplomatic Ties Anniversary
The Princess Royal has embarked on an official visit to the People’s Republic of China this week, to mark forty-five years of ambassadorial ties between the United Kingdom and China.
Her visit began with a series of engagements on Tuesday, including a tour of the Forbidden City in Beijing given by Madame Liu Yandong, the country’s Vice Premier.
Princess Anne also launched the British Horse Society’s new education system, and visited the Beijing China National Athlete Training Centre to see athletes train ahead of next month’s IAAF World Championships (the Chinese team presented her with a signed training vest as a gift).
