Monday was a double-debut day for the Duchess of Cambridge, as she made her first appearance at Wimbledon as patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, debuting a new hairstyle in the process.

Her new locks were noticeably shorter than her last public appearance, now sitting just below her shoulders.

Catherine – who took over the patronage of the AELTC in December last year – met with ballboys and girls working at the tournament this year, as well as medical and technical staff. She then spent a brief time with players of years past, including Martina Navratilova, before heading to Centre Court for the match between reigning Wimbledon champion, Scotsman Andy Murray, and Alexander Bublik from Russia.

The Duke of Kent, President of the AELTC, was also present for the opening day of the tournament.
