Jordan’s Princess Aisha bint Hussein, younger sister of King Abdullah II, has watched her son, Aoun Juma, graduate from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst last week.

The 24-year-old is the first grandson of the late King Hussein to graduate from the Academy according to a social media posting of his aunt, Princess Haya. His grandmother, Princess Muna, also attended the ceremony.

Aoun’s cousin, Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah, is currently undertaking military training at Sandhurst and is expected to graduate later this year. The Jordanian royals have a long history with Sandhurst: the current and two previous Kings all graduated from the Academy, as did Aoun’s mother and five of his maternal aunts and uncles.

My sister Major General HRH Princess Aisha was a proud mother standing next to her son, Aoun Zeid Juma, who just graduated from Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. Aoun is the first grandson of HM King Hussein to graduate from Sandhurst, and the smile in His grandmother HRH Princess Muna Al Hussein's face said it all! Also to graduate from Jordan was Raad Hendi Muhammad Al Tallas, by all accounts also a really fantastic young man. Many congratulations Aoun and Raad you have made us all very proud! Incredible achievement!
