Spanish Kings Receive The President of Germany

The President of Germany, Joachim Gauck, was received at Zarzuela Palace by King Felipe and Queen Letizia for a luncheon as part of his official visit to Spain.

The group posed for photographs on the outside staircase of the Palace before heading inside for the lunch. President Gauck was joined by his partner, Daniela Schadt, who was wearing a red dress and overcoat; while the Queen repeated a red and grey ombre coat and skirt from the state visit to Portugal last year.

President Gauck’s visit comes as part of a ‘farewell tour’ before he finishes his term as President in March.
