A new bronze bust of Queen Elizabeth II has been unveiled by its inspiration today at the Honourable Artillery Company’s headquarters in London.

The bust, created by Antony Dufort and showing the Queen in full gala evening wear, was commissioned to mark the Queen becoming the longest serving Captain-General of the Company, a position she has held since she came to the throne in 1952. She is also its first female Captain-General.

Queen Elizabeth was all smiles as she attended the event in a blue coat over a blue and white floral dress. Joining her were Prince and Princess Michael of Kent (the Prince is the Company’s Royal Honorary Colonel). They all spent time with members of the Company during the reception following the unveiling.
