Queen Máxima Attends SME Envoy Network Meeting
As member of the Dutch National Committee for Entrepreneurship and Finance, Her Majesty Queen Máxima was present today, Friday April 1st, at the meeting of the European “Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SME)” Envoy Network at the European Building in Amsterdam.
The meeting was chaired by Elżbieta Bieńkowska, SME Envoy of the EU and European Commissioner for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs and there were present representatives of European business associations. The topics of the meeting were: promoting entrepreneurship, less regulatory burden, access to finance and access to markets and internationalisation.

In her speech the Queen stressed the importance of supporting SMEs because it means economic growth, job creation and innovation and she also stated how important is the help of governments towards entrepreneurs.
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) represent 99% of all businesses in the EU. The Dutch Committee for Entrepreneurship and Finance was established by the Minister of Economic Affairs.
