Danish Crown Prince Couple Award Culture Prize for 2015

The Danish Crown Prince and Princess tonight awarded the 2015 edition of their culture prize, during a ceremony at the Culture Yard in Helsingør.

Frederik and Mary took to the stage to deliver speeches during the evening, which included musical performances by a number of local musicians, to present four awards. The ‘Social’ prize went to the Danish Refugee Council program Mind Your Own Business, which helps minority youth boys to “strengthen their professional skills and social relations” to create their own micro-enterprise.

Theatre director Elisa Kragerup took home the cultural award, both the social and cultural prizes come with 500,000DKK prize money. ‘Stardust Prizes’ were awarded to designer Mark Tan and author Amalie Smith.

For the prize ceremony, Princess Mary wore a black cocktail dress featuring a pouffed skirt and scarf-like draping around the neckline. The outfit was accessorised with the brooch and earrings of the ruby parure.
