King Felipe Visits Traffic Management Centre

The King of Spain today paid a visit to the Madrid Traffic Management Centre of the Directorate General of Traffic (DGT). He was accompanied by the Spanish Interior Ministry, Jorge Fernandez Diaz.

King Felipe VI attended a work meeting with the directors of the centre, where they discussed the role of the DGT in improving the population’s quality of life and ‘Operation Easter Space’, which is specifically put in place to monitor and regulate the roads during the Easter holidays.

He then toured the centre, was shown their systems and spoke with workers. The King also spoke with patrolmen of the Traffic Civil Guard and helicopter pilots through the telecommunications system, encouraging their work and wishing them a safe return to their bases.
