Queen Paola visited the Namur Technical Institute (ITN) in Namur today. Here she met with the winners of the Prix Terre d’Avenir.

The Queen toured the institute and viewed the creation that earned the institute the prize, a gateway which allows people with reduced mobility to access trains on the SNBC (Belgian National Rail), before meeting with students who helped design it. She was accompanied by Belgian polar explorer Alain Hubert and the Deputy Mayor of Namur, Anne Barzin.

The Prix Terre d’Avenir is organised by the Queen Paola Foundation to encourage technical and vocational education and is awarded annually.
