King Juan Carlos I Leaves Hospital

Madrid – November 25th

King Juan Carlos I of Spain was discharged from the Chiron Hospital Universitario Madrid on Monday November 25th. The Spanish Monarch was admitted to the hospital last week and underwent successful surgery on his left hip.

Over the weekend, the King received visits from Queen Sofia, Prince Felipe, Princess Letizia and Infantas Leonor, Sofia, Elena and Cristina.

Last week marked the 38th anniversary of the accession of King Juan Carlos following the death of General Franco in 1975. Over the past few years, the aging King has looked increasingly frail and has suffered a series of health issues.
