20th Birthday of Princess Alexandra of Luxembourg

HRH Princess Alexandra of Luxembourg, Princess of Nassau, the only daughter of the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess, turns 20 today.

Princess Alexandra Joséphine Teresa Charlotte Marie Wilhelmine was born on February 16, 1991, as the fourth child and only daughter of then Hereditary Grand Duke Henri and Hereditary Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg. She joined big brothers, Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume, then Prince Guillaume, and Princes Félix and Louis. A little over a year after her birth, her mother gave her a younger brother, Prince Sébastien, who shares a birthday with their father. Her godparents are the 14th Prince of Ligne, Prince Michel, and Princess Maria-Anna Galitzine, née Archduchess of Austria.

Princess Alexandra’s hobbies are, among others, dancing, playing tennis, skiing, water skiing and swimming. She’s fluent in Luxembourgish, French and English, understands German well and is studying Spanish. The Princess is currently studying abroad.

There is also a lovely picture of the Princess, Prince Louis and hid oldest son Prince Gabriel, who is Princess Alexandra’s godchild, at Gabriel’s christening.
