The President of the Republic of Korea Yoon Suk Yeo and his wife Kim Keon Hee will pay a state visit to the Netherlands on December 12 and 13, 2023.

Apparently the president of South Korea does not warrant the curtesy of other members of the RF turning up. Only the King and Queen were there AFAIK.

Yes I was rather surprised not to see the kings mother,brother or sister in law in attendance.

Is it matter of other members of the family not being available? As mentioned other family members attended visits of other republics. Moreover this is a *state* visit not an official one.

The DRF may be slimming things down. The world's economy is still post-Covid and lots of shop spaces are empty and some folk are still working or partly working from home.

I am not sure the other members are really warranted. I think there is a clear message here: main line only. Margariet's mother stopped being the monarch nearly 45 years ago, and her sister 10 years ago. The King;s brother was never a full time working member. In a few years time, Catherine- Amalia will start to attend, and possibly, her sisters.
