After taking part in the royal cortège the cavalry honorary escort did an extra salute to The King, a nice but colourful exercition, all shielded from the public, on the inner cour of Noordeinde Palace. This was apparently filmed by an onlooker:

By the way, these are half of the horses at Prinsjesdag as the mounted escortes by the Royal Marechaussee (picture) and the Corps National Police (picture) did not take part here, in this apart ceremony.

This year's Prinsjesdag will be Alexia's debute. I am curious to see whether she will travel with her parents and sister or will join her uncle and aunt (which seems the like solution in 2 more years when her youngest sister also starts to join the familynon Prinsjesdag).

I believe Prince Friso and Prince Constantijn have always used a Glass Gala Berline to travel to the Hall of Knights? I can not remember Prince Friso or Prince Constantijn ever have been seated in the Golden State Coach or the Glass State Coach?

See picture: the couple leaving a Glass Gala Berline.

This picture was taken after Constantijn was married, not when he was a young single adult. Of course, at that point he couldn't join the Golden State Coach as that would become too crowded (and he is the youngest son, not the middle one - so never one was among the 'top 4'). They are surely not putting Alexia in her own carriage. So, she'll either travel with her parents or her uncle and aunt (my advice would be the latter).

The best reference would probably be the year prince Friso first attended Prinsjesdag; and another interesting year would be 2001 (Princess Laurentien's first appearance) or 2002 (Máxima's first appearance - at that point there were 8 of them (as prince Claus didn't take part - so they would fit in 2 coaches if Friso joined his mother and elder brother with his wife).

The Prinsjesdag 2023 will happen on September 19

It will be interesting to see if Pss Alexia will participate. Now she is 18 she can, and her uncles did as well. Though they missed several of them due to their study.

I believe that Alexia will travel with her parents and Amalia, the Golden State Coach should have the capacity for 4-5 people

Probably, although I don't think it will fit 5, so, in that case, it would make most sense for her and Ariane to travel with their uncle and aunt - at least once Ariane turns 18 (in 2 years time).

While Ariane still don't turn 18, I think that Alexia will travel with her parents and sister, so will 4 persons

And as I kind of expected, she will not travel with her parents and sister but with her uncle and aunt. A spokesperson clarified that the main carriage (previously the Golden Carriage, now the Glass Carriage) is reserved for the head of state and the future head of state. See: NOS.nl

In this way, in two years' time she doesn't need to switch carriages but Ariane can join her in the carriage with Constantijn and Laurentien.

Are expected protests at Prinsjesdag tomorrow?

I have to admit that I got a bit dizzy looking at Maxima's outfit. The pants suit isn't too bad, but that overcoat is a bit much.

Amalia looked lovely. I haven't seen a good photo of Alexia's outfit, nor of Laurentien's outfit yet.

JMHO

What the hell is Máxima wearing. Looks horrible not only the neon colours of the overcoat but trousers for such an Event

Are expected protests at Prinsjesdag tomorrow?

Yes there were.
Some with whistles, some with our national flag upside down.A disgrace.

Freedom is one thing, but the right to protest is taken far far too widely
and should be dealt with!

We will not have it that we live by the craze of the day!Never!

This group of protesting crazies - who actually think that we are ruled by a WEF conspiracy of people who drink the blood of children- should be admitted to a mental hospital and are a danger out on the streets.

I believe it is the first time the king is reading his speech with reading glasses?

Talso the first time we see Alexia wearing the Order of the Netherlands Lion. I hope Laurentien will be awarded with it soon as well.

Edited: Netherlands Lion instead of Orange-Nassau.

That is what i have been wondering. That after over 20 years of marriage, Laurentien still only has the House Order and was not upgraded to a higher one.

Strange, Pieter Van Vollenhoven in 1980 wore the Order of Orange Nassau at his sister-in-law's enthronment, and in 2013, at his nephew's enthronment, he wore the Order of the Netherlands Lion

She was awarded with the Order of the Netherlands Lion and the Order of the Golden Lion of the House of Nassau, but not the Order of the Orange-Nassau

It took prof Pieter several decades to get the order of the Dutch Lion (in 2003). But it seems a bit odd that Laurentien didnt receive one while 18y/o Alexia did.

It was noted that the balcony scene was the shortest ever. The reporter stated that Pss Alexia seemed ‘chagrijnig’ [in a bad mood]. That isnt that odd considering the number of lunatics whistling and shouting. I imagine it isn’t a coincidence that the young princesses were flanked by the two elder couples.

At the balcony appareance, Alexia seems sad. I've seen on ZDFroyal at Instagram. And as always, were held protests.

I thought that Laurentien was the worst dressed, but today Maxima overcame

Indeed. Pieter van Vollenhovend received it for his 65th birthday (the day prior). Hopefully Laurentien doesn't have to wait that long. I understand why Alexia received it as the king's daughter but I don't understand why the spouses of active members of the royal family who also take on various royal duties over the years need to wait this long. In addition, several foreign royals (not only heads of state!) also sport this order and the one actually contributing to the Dutch monarchy doesn't. Maybe the 25th wedding anniversary of Constantijn and Laurentien in 2027 would be a good opportunity?

And I also noticed that Alexia didn't look too happy at the balcony waving. Amalia did much better.
