I just had a look around the FashionThread and I didn't find a Thread about Queen Sonja's Gala Gowns.
So I'll just start one.
I think Sonja wears stunning and very beautiful dresses.

Mmmmm ... She's my absolutely favourite queen . But I have to say that I don't like Queen Sonja's gowns at all : too much colour most of the time, not very flattering for her, too much of everything in fact ...

The first picture was taken on May 23, 2002 on the eve of Märtha Louise's and Ari Behn's wedding. Sonja wore the mint green dress at the concert that evening.

Here is the awful yellow dress she wore to the Official Visit to Sweden, September 2005. Reminds me of Big Bird . The emeralds are stunning though! I like the picture of her going down the steps of the ship; she actually looks quite lovely there!

i like the cut of the dress is nice,,,, but the colour .. terrible!

I don't like her choice of Gala dresses at all, they are too extravagant, and cinderella-like, (even though her life is a cinderella story)I like her suits, at Christenings and such...
