Today, June 14, Queen Mathilde opened the virtual "International Conference on Mental Health and Psychosocial Needs in Francophone countries of Sub-Saharan Africa":

Queen Mathilde participated in a round table meeting of the Union Wallonne des Entreprises on the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in companies and visited the Pharmaceutical Tilman facilities, that hosted the round table today, June 22:

And in the afternoon Queen Mathilde virtually talked to Najat M'jid, special representative of the Un Secretary-General for violence against children about the report 'Hidden Scars: How Violence Harms The Mental Health of Children':

Today, June 24, Queen Mathilde virtually met with Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization to talk about the role of the WHO „in the fight against violence against children and their consequences on their mental health“:

Wonderful to see the queen taking part in the Brussels 20km this year.

I participated this morning but I did not see the Queen, who judging from the colour & number started in the last group. She is quite a quick walker it seems. I did see the federal minister of Internal Affairs -Annelies Verlinden, who gave the starting shot but who also participated.

There were a lot of handicapped people participating too, with their care takers, and blind people with a rope between them and their sponsor. The weather was marvelous. Before the start they played first the Belgian national anthem and afterwards Beethoven's 9th - the European anthem.

Today, September 21, Queen Mathilde paid a visit to the microStart agency in Charleroi. Included was a visit to the Tarte Verte company that produces biscuits and was created with the help of microStart that supports female entrepreneurship with micro credits:

Queen Mathilde as Defender of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations participated in the World Summit on mental health "Mind our rights, now!" in Paris today, October 5. During the event she also held talks with UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay. And the day ended with a „working meeting with those in charge of @OCDE_fr on the quality of education and citizenship education, as well as mental health at school and at work“:

Queen Mathilde received the Fairtrade CEO and the Director of Fairtrade_BE on the occasion of fair trade week today, October 7:
During the meeting the Queen received a "Fair Card", "in recognition of her commitment to the most vulnerable".

Great Queen Mathilde , She misses nothing.

When they find the dead bodies of Julie and Melissa and 2 Weeks later those of Ann and Eefje , Victims of Marc Dutroux King Albert II and Queen Paola stayed on holiday ! When they came back to Begium , they were very sorry and a meeting was organisated at the Throne Room of the Royal Palace. Queen Paola was President of Childfocus.
