PH is getting a
lot of positive coverage in BB these weeks! - Well, that's what friends are for, eh? And the cynic within me suspects an exclusive interview coming up around PH's birthday in return.
Summary of several articles in Billed Bladet #21, 2015.
On 14th May, Ascension of Christ, PH took QMII and their friends, Birgitta and Keld Hillingsø, to the Tivoli Concert Hall to see the show with Ørkenens Sønner = Sons of the Desert (*). PH has seen them before, completely cracking up.
Very appropriately, or perhaps not, the title of the show is One more time for Prince Knud. Referring to a popular belief back around 1950 that the then heir to the throne Prince Knud was a bit slow... So that expression has remained an idiom since.
Niels Olsen, a member of the group and immensely popular here in DK, said afterwards: "They were at least so kind to pretend" (to like the show) He goes on to tell that people actually spontaneous rose and applauded the Regent Couple as they entered. (**) "That sort of give the whole thing a fresh spark and such a mood can be felt all the way up to the stage, so we nailed it to the floor". Niles Olsen also believe that QMII could handle the show: "We are not that naughty and bad... I think".
During the intermission the Regent Couple went backstage to greet the quartet: "That was a really fine experience, but we did only get water, because we had to go down to the second part of the show right after. But it was really cozy and very, very delightful that they came. And we are of course wildly honored".
But PH has also been on the job, sort of, lately. Recently he went to Funen to inaugurate an education center run by a good friend of his, Claudia Sehested Juul and her daughter. What are friends for, right?
As Sehested belongs to the distinguished Danish families (Sehested was a general during the Schleswigan Wars) the event attracted other members of the nobillity and others within the circle around the Regent Couple, like the Ahelefeldt Lauervig's.
He has also been hunting on Bornholm with some of the "old boys". But perhaps they had enjoyed a night cap too many, because they arrived a little late (the sun goes up at 04.50 at this time of year) so the deers had long since done their morning routine and only one deer was shot. That didn't spoil the mood though and the male banter continued.
The reporter from BB, Trine Larsen, had her birthday at that time, so she was congratulated and presented with a signed book by PH with his poems.
In fact PH went to a local church, Øster (East) Marie Church, where he read aloud from his poems. (***)
Judging from comments and from what I hear on the streets it seems to me that PH has been largely forgiven for his untimely flu during QMII's birthday. The sentiment being something like: grandpa has misbehaved again... Oh well, at least the old guy ain't dull.
(*) Ørkenens Sønner is a quartet of friends who some twenty years ago got together to make a show simply for the fun of it. Being very accomplished actors in their own right already back then, it meant that they can actually sing and act. In fact their entire show is one big innuendo. - And that proves that while PH speaks "circus Danish" his understanding of Danish is
perfect, otherwise he would miss half of what goes on during the show.
It is unfortunately not possible for me to translate some of their word plays and at the same time do them justice.
Here is a video with three of them at calisthenics. Watch it if you think you can handle all that testosterone... You need not understand a word of Danish. Those among you who watch Danish Tv-shows may recognize Søren Pilmark:

(**) A clear indication that the DRF
is popular. Because a common thing would be to allow the Regent Couple to be left alone as they were there as private persons.
Those who go see Ørkenens Sønner are a very wide segment of the population from the unemployed blue collar worker to the highly paid attorney.
(***) The churches on Bornholm are unique in Denmark and I believe in the Baltic region. They are round. I don't know why and I'm not sure whether such churches exist outside Bornholm in the Baltic. (Perhaps FasterB can help?)
Here are a couple of pics of round churches:
