Aren't they from the picnic thing at the Princess Antoinette Park? On like the 7th of this month?

Yes, the additional pics, rerehh kindly shared with us, are from the traditional
picnic that has taken place on Friday, September 3, 2010!

(September 7 is the date belga has added one of these pics to their gallery)

Thank you rerehh, Thtregoddess and iceflower!

Charlene looks lovely!

I love seeing the Casiraghi children assist Albert with his official duties!

I think they can and will contribute much to restoring some of the razzle-dazzle to the Principality.

This is not taking anything away from CW btw..I am sure she will be wonderful..but Caroline's dazzling children are in a league of their own.

Princess Caroline is looking wonderful, and Alexandra is really growing up!:flowers:

I think Ms Wittstock will have to work very hard to prove herself useful to the principality, it's not her fault, but, nevertheless... As to the Casiraghi's, they've been prepared all their lives to assume official duties and functions ( although none in the Princely Family admits it ) and, sooner or later, they will do it... It's their natural future! :sceptre: :sceptre: :sceptre:

Grace Kelly had to overcome the "stigma" of being an "actress". She was beyond successful in transforming herself into a wonderful Princess. I agree that Charlene has her work cut out for her.

Not sure what their future will be or what they will make of their lives. Should Albert & Charlene have children the Casiraghis will over time fade into the background and play only a limited role in the official life of the principality. They will probably be limited to events such as the Rose & Red Cross Balls and National Day events. It was the same with Antoinette and her children, and the siblings, nieces and nephews of Europes other monarchs. Naturally the monarch, the consort and their children always take center stage. My guess would be the Casiraghis wouldn`t mind at all being able the live a more private life pursuing their own interests.

Despite Princess Caroline's insistance that her children were not raised as royals, the fact is that they had an upbringing that was "princely" in all but name.

It is obvious by the way they comport themselves at official functions that somebody very high up showed them the ropes...they appear poised and self assured at all times. It's as if they see Monaco as the family business and understand the need to contribute and do their part, while at the same time leading their individual lives.

They are a great asset to PA and to Monaco.

Exactly...and growing up attending the official events (National day, etc) probably helped...which makes me wonder what would happen if Steph's kids started attending events like National day what would happen, how would it affect the situation at hand having them around?

I would love to see more of Stephanie's children...but they are the ones who were indeed raised as average children(that is... average according to very wealthy standards :whistling:)

I have no idea if they'd be as poised as the Casiraghis are at official functions.

Exactly...I agree, but the three of them have grown up under such private lives. Pauline said in a recent interview for the YOG or one of the other big events recently she's done that she feels normal European girl, rather than a "daughter of a princess". Or something like that.

There's only one way to find out if they'll be poised as the Casiraghi's at events...watch them attend them. But I doubt given the way Steph/Daniel/Jean-Raymond have raised them that it would ever happen. Maybe when they are adults and PA/Charlene's kids are "in charge of things"....we'll have to wait and see.

Perhaps the different lifestyle and marriage choices of the Caroline and Stephanie have made significant difference in their children's preparedness for official functions. Caroline married a businessman, Stephano and was the first lady of her country. She and her family were present for most official functions. Stephanie married her bodyguard, Daniel and wisely chose privacy. Later, Caroline married a prince, Ernst. Stephanie joined the circus and married an acrobat, Adans. Both marriages and lifestyle choices undoubtedly influenced the lives of Stephanie's and Caroline's children. Caroline and Stephanie's spouses and families traveled in different circles. I've always admired Stephanie's choice to restrict publicity around her children. There are few if any publicity family photos and she rarely brings her children to official functions. I've never seen her children at the palace balcony waiving to the Monegasques. On the other hand, Princess Caroline's palace duties created a different atmosphere altogether. Her responsibilities required that she be front and center for the activities of the palace and for her country. It was natural that she brought her children with her to appropriate family functions. Both Stephanie and Caroline are good mothers and are very close to their children. Stephanie sought privacy and ensured that for her children. Caroline was forced into a public life due to her mother's tragic death. Her children seem more at ease and with being public persons in Monaco.

Prince Albert and Princess Caroline attended the opening exhibition of the New
National Museum of Monaco at the Villa Paloma, in Monaco, September 17,
2010. The exhibition, entitled La Carte d'Apres Nature, was curated by German
artist Thomas Demand.

I had to look twice when seeing the first pic of Caroline with her second
handbag  Extraordinary but funny guest ;)

These pictures are absulutely cute! Caroline looks beautiful, with all her accesories hhaha. I hope we will always see her in this events. She´s radiant, elegant, smilig. No one could take her place.

She is unique. I love her style! No one can compare to Princess Caroline, she looks fantastic.

That's what i call democracy... Culture to everyone!!! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: I wonder what the puppy must be " thinking " about all the photographers, the flashes and... Oh My God... paparazzies. That's what we can truly call a dog's life!!! :photo:

Taking a puppy to a museum, now that is risky business.

Does anyone remember Onyx, the enormous and magnificent German shepherd who was Caroline's constant escort in the early 80's after her divorce from Junot?

Onyx went EVERYWHERE with Caroline and was even photographed snarling at paparrazzi through the car window. He was like her boyfriend for awhile, I loved it!

Caroline looks wonderful, stylish and happy. She is Monaco's most precious asset, IMO.:flowers:

I like to see Albert and Caro together again :). She looks awesome and Albert looks so relaxed.
But bringing a doggy to exhibition, especially if it is official event? It is a bad idea and bad taste--IMO :nonono:

I don't see why it was bad taste Lakshmi..it was a small dog that she kept in her arms the entire time...not some big slobbering thing that she allowed to run amuck and possibly destroy property.

The Princess is obviously an animal lover, as I am. :flowers: I don't see what the harm was.

There are many animal lovers that don't actually bring their small dogs to the museums or exhibitions.
I thought that they wouldn't allow it..but wait, what can we say to a princess:p

I agree, I think she shouldn't take the dog to the museum.

Onyx was gorgeous :)

I can understand Lakshmi's point: it's an official act, some sobriety and formal behaviour should be required... :flowers:

Well, if she is bringing the dog to the Museum, that means that domestic animals are allowed in this public place? Or is it because it's the cute little dog of Princess Caroline?

I agree...BUT (see below....)

...Like Nat said...perhaps dogs are allowed or they dealt with it because it was Princess Caroline, and the agreement with the museum people that if the little dog stayed in her arms, she could bring it. Perhaps this is why we see one of the little dogs (and only one, not both of them) and not Romeo with her.

Onyx was an absolutely gorgeous dog. What that the one that Philippe Junot bought for her?

It wouldn't surprise me if Onyx was a gift from Junot...I remember seeing a photo of Caroline and Junot walking Onyx in a park in Paris soon after they were married.

But he moved back to Monaco with Caroline after the divorce, so I suppose the Princess retained "custody" of him.

He really was beautiful.
