07/02/2007 Barcelona All the members of the spanish royal family are very sad with the news of the death of Erika Ortiz, the younger sister of Princess Letizia. Iñaki Urdangarin goes to pickup his sons from school and the sadness is present in his face:

I adore this couple and all of their children. They seem so down to earth and they´re all so truly nice and lovely.
I´ve read all the threads in here related to them. Thanks to all of you for the news and pictures. I specially adore Irene. Is there any other gallery apart from the thread "Irene Urdangarin"?
Thanks again!

PS/ As soon as I get a scanner I´ll be able to cooperate adding pics from magazines.

Infanta Cristina: ¡Thank you Jesus!

(La Lupa, of Maria Vela Zanetti) in Yo Dona 10th of February of 2007

Although I am not a believer, I confess that I cannot stop to believe in a miraculous fact, unquestionable now. And it is, I don't have a doubt that Doña Cristina is under the invocation of some modern saint, not necessarily a martyr, to obtain this super makeover of image which all the Spaniards and specially the Catalans (who see her more often) are proud of. Under the sponsorship of this generous divinity, the one that was once a tomboy with dim aspect and filled with aloofness has conquered her place in the world. They were the implacable 80's, which, with its awful brightness and marked silhouettes, they did not even favor God, and even less our infantas. Doña Cristina had it difficult either she became an anxious imitation of her sister or followed the lost-hope steps of her sister-in-law, Doña Letizia. The best thing about the youngest Infant is that she has demonstrated greater sensitivity than her royal relatives and little snobbishness.

Jesus of the Great Power (as I will always call him from now on) has lent to a Spanish Infanta all the mystery and the doubt, all the consolation and the grace, all the drama and the voluptuosity of a flower that has preferred to run certain risks outside the greenhouse

Thanks so much for this warm welcome. Oh yes, I adore them both and all of their kids specially Miguel and Irene :) . I´ll get a scanner next month. We can´t add pics from agencies, that´s a pitty or can we? I´d love to contribute!!!

Jesus of the Great Power ??? LOL  I think he is rather mediocre, a little bit better than Felipe Varela though . Most of the clothes that looked gorgeous on Cristina were from Lorenzo Caprile or Armani.

Anyone is better than Varela, at least in the originality department:cool: but Jesús del Pozo has done some really smashing outfits for Cristina:

I like this one too. I read somewhere this gown was from Caprile. Or maybe that article confused Cristina's with Elena's same color gown from Caprile ?

I think Elena's gown was from Lacroix, but I'm not so sure:ermm:

I do not believe that he is nothing mediocre in addition I believe that suits that to taken Infanta Cristina in the acts by day were of that designer and was wonderful.

That beautiful Cristina that day !!!!!!!

I don't know where I read it, I will look for it...

Does anyone know who that women is who is walking behind Cristina, in that white gown? I thought nobody is supposed to wear white to a wedding, other than the bride, and this picture was taken on Frederik and Mary's wedding right?

Of fairy tale it was the wedding between the great player of Hispanic handball, Iñaki Undangarín and infanta Cristina, daughter of the king of Spain, Juan Carlos II, who married in 1997 and continue being one of the favorite pairs of the European aristocracy.

crisiñaki, I found in a special web for the wedding of Letizia and Felipe that they talked about the danish wedding and they wrote:
"The queen, in violet, came with the king and queen of Belgium. The infantas Elena and Cristina came into the Cathedral in the arms of their husbands. Cristina, dressed in red and green with a design of Jesus del Pozo and Elena, with a pink coat on a white dress."
You can see in elmundo.es | Boda Real
