The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this morning visited the Shard, London Bridge, London SE1, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer) and the Mayor of the London Borough of Southwark (Councillor Abdul Mohamed).
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness, escorted respectively by the Chairman of Sellar Property Group (Mr Irvine Sellar) and the Leader of Southwark Council (Councillor Peter John), ascended the building via the Viewing Gallery to the open air viewing platform and met members of staff, Borough Market representatives, Southwark representatives and Southwark Scholars.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh afterwards visited Southwark Cathedral, London Bridge, and were received by the Dean (the Very Reverend Andrew Nunn) and Chapter.
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness, escorted respectively by the Dean and Canon Bruce Saunders (Sub-Dean and Canon Pastor), viewed the Diamond Jubilee Window where a Prayer of Blessing was given by the Bishop of Southwark, before viewing and meeting members of the Worshipful Company of Broderers who were working on a new set of Jubilee Copes to be worn by the four Bishops of the Diocese.
The Duke of Edinburgh, Colonel-in-Chief, The Rifles, this evening attended the Regimental Awards Dinner in Davies Street, London W1.

Her Royal Highness this evening held a Meeting at the Intercontinental Hotel.
The Countess of Wessex afterwards attended a Young Fellowship Reception at Ammo, Asia Society, Hong Kong Centre, 9 Justice Drive, Admiralty, Hong Kong Island.
Her Royal Highness later departed Hong Kong International Airport for the United Kingdom.

The Princess Royal was admitted as a Royal Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences this evening during a Dinner at the Royal Society, 6-9 Carlton House Terrace, London SW1, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).
