Zara Falls Ill, Misses Magic Millions Race Day On The Gold Coast

An unfortunate turn of events has led to Zara Tindall, ambassador for Magic Millions, missing the event’s flagship race that was held today, as she has been taken ill with a stomach bug.

Her husband, Mike Tindall, said how Zara was “gutted” to be missing the event as he spoke with the media upon arrival at the Gold Coast Turf Club on the Gold Coast. “Zara really wanted to come to the race day but she is about 10 hours behind me with the bug,” he said, confirming that Zara had picked up a stomach bug over the past few days – one that he had also gotten.

“It’s been a brilliant week and it is a shame this had to happen,” Mike said.

The couple’s almost-four year old daughter Mia has thus far escaped catching the illness, but the family will be delaying their return to England until Zara is feeling better (Mike said they were meant to be flying out of Australia on Sunday).
