Beatrice Steals The Show At The Rose Ball in Monaco
The annual Bal de la Rose took place this evening at the Sporting Monte-Carlo, and Beatrice Borromeo, the wife of Pierre Casiraghi, stole the show in an extravagant ball gown.
Donning a bright red strapless gown from Giambattista Valli that featured a voluminous tulle ruffled skirt, Beatrice stood out from the rest of the ladies in her family, who chose neutrals and pastels for the evening. Her hair was swept up into a messy chignon and a large emerald and diamond pendant necklace provided some sparkle.
Others in attendance from the Monaco Princely Family were Prince Albert, Princess Caroline (typically, in Chanel), Andrea and Tatiana Casiraghi, Charlotte Casiraghi, Pierre Casiraghi and Princess Alexandra of Hanover (who was making her Bal de la Rose debut). They posed with designer Karl Lagerfeld, who designed the Cuban-themed decor for the event, as they arrived.
900 guests, including the Duke and Duchess of Castro, spent the evening sipping mojitos, before the young members of the Princely Family kicked off the dancing at around 11pm.
The ball raises money for the Princess Grace of Monaco Foundation.
