Princess Sabika Opens Bahrain International Garden Show

Princess Sabika al Khalifa, the wife of HM King Hamad bin Isa al Khalifa of Bahrain, attended the opening ceremony of the Bahrain International Gardens Show 2010 (BIGS) on Thursday February 25th.

The event took place at the Bahrain International Exhibition Center. Princess Sabika, who is the Honorary President of BIGS was welcomed by Shaikha Maram bint Isa Al Khalifa, head of the BIGS Supreme Organising Committee. Shaikha Maram thanked the Princess for her “Great efforts in supporting the Bahraini agricultural sector”, which has “helped raised the people’s awareness of the benefits of growing trees”.

Princess Sabika also visited the various sections and honored formal and informal institutions who supported the exhibition and the BIGS competitions winners.
