I have always loved this tiara. Not over the top. Very simple yet elegant. It really does suit Queen Beatrix.

Aren't these pieces from the Sapphire Parure? Source is Dutch Royal Jewels - the site lists and displays photographs of the majority of the Dutch Aroyal Collection.

I can't find this particular pendant on John's website (but considering it is a very complete website, I may have overlooked it). But esp. the pendant seems new to me. The sapphires from Quen Emma's sapphire parure and from Wilhelmina's sapphire parure all seem much larger. Also the cut seems to be more modern. I think HM hasn't been seen with the pendant until the last few years, so maybe it was a recent gift or buy?

This is a beautiful tiara! Love the sapphires and the design. The necklace is also stunning as well. However, I am not a fan of the second setting. There is something about the design that I don't like.

I think I prefer the converted necklace Maxima sometimes wears to this tiara. There is just something about the three diamonds above the central element that just doesn't work for me. And also, you can barely see the sapphires whenever Beatrix wears it.

Its such a beautiful piece of royal jewelry, and i live the gold with diamonds and the sapphire rock.

The color of these sapphires is the perfect color. I don't love really dark sapphires, I love this true blue. I am bothered that when Bea wears it her hair covers up the beautiful design...but I don't think she is going to change her puffy do so I'll deal with it!
