Unannounced event for Frederik from a few weeks ago (Per the caption) - Apparently from what I can understand, CP Frederik invited a group of students from a local school to Amalienborg for School Exercise Day which occurs on/around the last day of school before Autumn holidays.
Here is the fun video posted by the DRF Instagram. Of course, Frederik is totally in his element with the kids: https://www.instagram.com/p/CdJSDpYD30G/

While there are admittedly a lot of interesting news these days, apart from BB, this visit by Frederik is only covered deep inside the business sections of the major papers.

I should be extremely surprised if the rest of the family doesn't make an appearance at times.

I had thought about that. I wondered if Mary might accompany him to the gala dinner and maybe 1 or more of the kids would show up at one of the races with Frederik.
What a "get" for Denmark! I mean the biggest bicycle race in the world?!? You cannot get better PR than that to promote Denmark as a tourist destination and to put it on display on the world's stage!
Sorry for my ignorance...is this the first time that any of the stages of the race are held outside of France? Sorry, my memory fails me!

Tour de France often start in neighboring countries. But DK is a bit far away from France though.
But then again a part Giro de Italia once took place in DK as well, IIRC, and that's even further away from DK.
It is a catch, because the Tour is pretty big in DK! And we are so much a bicycle-country.
I don't know how much value we will get for the money in tourists. I think it's more a question of us being very good organizers, which again attracts major international events, like the Tour.
