semi O/T

While watching the funeral, I noticed that a very nice song was sung. I believe it is called O Mamm, léif Mamm. Does anyone know the words of that song? I would greatly apprecitate it. I can't seem to find the words anywhere.

RTL.lu had streaming video of the entire event. I think it's still up.

Those are some nice photos of the late Grand Duchess Josephine Charlotte when she was younger.

Re;

Happy Birthday to the Grand Duchess.

It's still hard to believe that she's gone. :( - She always looked so regal when she came to Britain and I loved seeing her talking to late Queen Mother at the special birthday service.

Re:

I've just been looking through the photographs of King Harald and Queen Sonja's Silver Wedding Anniversary and Josephine-Charlotte looks so happy, laughing and joking. It was so sad to see her slowly decline and the Luxembourg RF doesn't seem complete without her.

Oh, ps- I was watching this thing about Danish royalty when JC spoke a few times in English. At one point, she told this story about her first experience with the Norwegian royal family. I couldn't really understand what she was saying. She had a very strong accent when speaking English. Also, one I noticed one of my pet peves. She only spoke out of one side of her mouth. Just informing you all.

Ah, yes...when she talked about her uncle George and him trying to drop his false teeth down her "decolleté" [I think she means her dress]. She is so sweet in that video.

IIRC, JC had had a stroke. That may explain why she spoke out of one side of her mouth. :(

Yeah, I totally didn't understand what she was saying there. Her accent was stronger than some of the other royals.

I read it on the Benelux board quite some time ago, I think it happened in the mid 90s. But I'm not sure if that is when it happened. I definitely remember reading there that she had had a stroke.

It's true, the stroke left half of he face paralyzed, that's also why she looked a bit stern, but actally she was a very kind woman, with a great sence of humor.
